Traces

This image was captured at Rincon Beach in California.

I was there to shoot a sunset for a project I was working on when I saw the foam

of the waves crawling up the sand and then gently recede back into the ocean.

With the camera lens almost touching the sand and the sun setting in the background,

I captured this image.

The traces left by the waves on the sand remind me of the little bits of our self

that we leave with every life that we touch, no matter how brief.
